What to wear

We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing, e.g. jeans and sweatshirt, windproof jacket and lightweight shoes suitable for performance driving.

Shorts are not permitted and heavy or wide soled shoes are not recommended. Helmets are mandatory and if forgotten available for rent.

Sunglasses may be helpful if it's sunny.

Arrival Time

You should aim to arrive by 08:00 in order to allow time for registration.

If participating in group 3 please make sure that you are signed on before 08:45 so that you are ready before the briefing starts at the Paddock house. Even if you have been to Drive@Weeze events before you will need to attend our briefing!

What do I need to start Drifting?

You need a rear wheel drive carfitted with a limited slip or welded differential. Those are the only ingredients you need to get started. Having a manual gearbox car, coil over suspension and a supportive seat will make it much easier again. The next level is to make steering geometry changes to increase steering lock, fit strong clutches, and increase the cars engine power.

You can compensate not having a lot of power by increasing the pressure in the rear tyres (± 4.0 Bar). For learning it’s best to use (cheap) old used tyres in the rear and better tyres in the front.

There are specialist garages that can advise you on setting up, building and modifying drift cars including Molenaar Race- & Rallysport based in Vierlingsbeek, NL.
